Sky Gardens

A Classy entrance

The entrance area to this beautiful house in the country had suffered somewhat between owners. The remit for this project was to restore the two large beds in front of the house, with a view to low maintenance. Planting aimed to enhance existing specimens, but providing overall cohesion. This was much helped by the fact that the owners of the garden own a magnificent nursery for 'Creative Plants'!

Following a thorough weed clearance and pruning exercise, informal slate gravel paths were established in both beds for ease of access, whilst the remainder was covered with bark chippings for weed control and to set of the planting scheme. The beautiful cottage garden with its mature roses was underplanted with scented lavenders and bulbs, whereas the more formal part invites the enjoyment of shape and structure.
