Sky Reflexions
The brief for this garden was to create a haven for wildlife in a frontgarden. This centers around a pond and bog garden leading on to a small prairie-style meadow, stocked with native plants such as ragged robin, seaholly, teasel, and yarrow. The owners wanted the garden to look as if it had been in place for a long time,
so reclaimed materials such as reclaimed bricks and an ancient oak beam were used. A slate dry stone wall offers hiding places for small creatures; and hedgehogs will hopefully take up residence in the stump shelter. Amazingly, the first damsel flies were spotted within 10 minutes of filling the pond!
